Why Lash Lift is the new trend!

Do you want bigger, longer, curlier eyelashes? Who doesn’t right?

You may have noticed the trend and you are curious what it's all about?

We will explain all of your questions and tell you exactly what you need to know about lashlifts.

What is a lashlift?

Naturally your lashes are bend forward, so even if you have long and thick lashes, sometimes it's difficult to recognise this without mascara. A lash lift will change the game completely.

A lash lift is like a perm for your lashes. Your natural lashes will be lifted with a special solution which gives them a fuller and longer look. For a more dramatic look you can apply mascara but for the lazy days you are good to go with just a lift.

How long does it last?

A lash lift lasts between 6-8 weeks. The lashes will slowly bend back to the normal form. This process goes so gradually that this treatment is a very low maintenance treatment compare to eyelash extensions which require weekly touch-ups.

Is it dangerous?

A lash lift is not dangerous. However we do advise to do your research when it comes to your lash technician. Make sure you go to someone who is trained professionally and works with a renown brand.

And keep in mind that it is still a chemical process meaning that there is always a potential risk on allergies or skin reactions. Make sure you always get a patch test done so the risk can be reduced.

Do my lashes grow quicker after a lash lift?

A lot of the brands use keratin which makes the lashes grow stronger and with this as well longer with time. It is a perfect alternative if you want to give your lashes a break from lash extensions.

Although we do as well advise to not overdo the lash lift treatments. Give your lashes always a small break to recover.

Can everybody get a lash lift?

If you suffer from hair loss or take medication which can cause hair loss or if your lashes are naturally super-short, you may not be the best candidate for the treatment. Your technician will begin by using medical-grade glue to affix a silicone rod on your eyelid. Then, they will glue the tips of your lashes to the rod to create the lift. If your lashes are very short, there isn’t enough room to apply the solution and the effect may be little to non. If you are unsure about the length of your lashes, always check with your technician.
